BIKE RIDING TRIP, Oct 2002
Where: From Hawley Beach
Leaders: Sylvia Ledger and Brian Haas.
DAY 2: Rode from Hawley Beach via Moriarty (truly!) to Latrobe, had lunch beside the Mersey.
Then down the east bank of the Mersey to East Devonport. Continued back through Wesley Vale
to Port Sorell and Hawley Beach - about 53km. A great ride.

DAY 3: Drove to Turners Beach. Rode up the west bank of the
Forth River and stopped for morning tea at Paloona Bridge. Climbed
steeply up (the leader said it was 'undulating') and had lunch at the
fire station in Melrose. Continued on to Forth thinking it would be all
downhill - it wasn't! Stayed on the east side of the river until the
highway. Another great ride.

DAY 4: Rode from Ulverstone along the coast road to Penguin
and enjoyed coffee on 'The Deck'. Rode back to Ulverstone and
drove to the Don River Railway. Cycled the bike track into Devonport,
and back.
